Spyre Group Keeps its Eye on the Broadbeach Sky

The Gold Coast’s Broadbeach suburb is adding a voluptuously curvy 30-storey structure to its skyline. Or at least it will do when Spyre Group secures council approval for an ambitious suite of luxury apartments on Old Burleigh Road’s unparalleled waterfront.

Queensland-based relative newcomer Sypre has inked a $6.35 million deal for an 825 sq m site on the pristine coast of Broadbeach, which realestate.com.au describes as a relaxing alternative to its neighbouring cousin, Surfers Paradise. Initial plans for the project suggest the development will feature a rounded design, allowing residents to savour unique views of both the ocean and nearby Pratten Park. Ideal tenants, according to Spyre director Andrew Malouf, would be owner-occupiers who enjoy beautiful vistas and tons of space (Spyre hopes to limit the complex to just 102 units).

Pending approval, the apartment project is yet another notch on Sypre’s increasingly enviable real estate belt. The Urban Developer reports Spyre Group boasts a $220 million residential pipeline complete with lavish apartment complexes in places like quaint and hipster-esque New Farm as well as Brisbane’s West End.

The Broadbeach project, which came together thanks to an amalgamation of eight separate titled properties, will enter into the application stages in the next few weeks, and, barring any roadblocks, units are expected to go on sale as early as this year.
