Leading diversified professional services and investment management firm, Colliers is pleased to announce the appointment of James Cowan as Head of New South Wales to their Investment Services team. James will continue to be based in Colliers’ Sydney CBD office.
Since joining Colliers in 2017 as an Executive in the same team, James has risen to the role of National Director, managing both the Sydney and North Sydney teams. With his new appointment of Head of New South Wales, he will continue to drive collaboration and further strengthen the team, extending his management to include the Sydney West and South-West teams.
Within his role he is also the NSW team leader of the Restructuring Property Services (RPS) initiative which is dedicated to complex workout solutions. This has unlocked more than $500m of asset realisation throughout 2023 alone.

As a trusted advisor, he collaborates with clients through all stages of the property lifecycle. With the leadership skills he has developed over the past few years as well as his experience in the insolvency sector, he is best placed to drive the growth of the New South Wales team and continue to ensure it is the number one investment services team in the market.
