Rare Rainforest Estate Comes to Market

Eaglemont Estate, one of the largest cleared, flat rural landholdings in Springbrook, has come to market. Located on the Springbrook plateau, the rare rainforest estate lies adjacent to the World Heritage-listed Springbrook National Park and is a mere 45-minute drive from the Gold Coast.

According to Kara Christensen, who is marketing the property alongside Michael Kollosche, it is a golden opportunity for anyone seeking a large landholding with unlimited potential.

“Being able to purchase this parcel as a whole means you will essentially own 13 per cent of Springbrook’s cleared land, bordering on National Park,” Ms Christensen said.

Spread across 63.17 ha of prime improved land, the parcel has been divided into five freehold lots, each with private access.

Lot 1 is anchored by a two-storey, architect-designed, four-bedroom residence with a helipad, manicured gardens, an extensive fruit and vegetable nursery, a heated magnesium pool, tennis court and two large lakes well-stocked with bass and perch. A further three dwellings, including a second large house with a downstairs bunkhouse, plus a farm workers’ cottage, are spread across the estate.

Held in its entirety by the same family for more than 22 years, with the owners carrying out extensive planting and improvement work over the years.

An advanced timber plantation has banked 5,000 tonnes of carbon over 20 years and presents the future potential for commercial harvesting, while rich volcanic soil, reliable annual rainfall and significant water assets support agriculture and intensive horticulture.

Ms Christensen said a buyer could own and enjoy the space as a whole, landbank, lease some of the lots to capitalise on returns or outsource what is already growing on the land.

“It offers endless and diverse opportunities now and into the future and as such we have been fielding enquiries from a wide buyer base, including interest from overseas,” Ms Christensen said.

11-17 Lyrebird Road, Springbrook, is open to expressions of interest, closing on 6 April at 5 pm.
