Oliver Hume Expands Gold Coast Footprint With New Office Space

National property services group Oliver Hume has locked in a five-year lease over nearly 200 sqm at 50 Cavill Avenue in Surfers Paradise as the group continues to capitalise on the growth of the south east Queensland property market.

Oliver Hume staff, currently based at the Oracle building at Broadbeach, will relocate to the larger office space before Christmas after a prestige fitout is completed. The five-plus-five lease includes 4 carparks. The lease provides a larger working space for the group’s Gold Coast staff and complements the new Oliver Hume Corporate 700-sqm office at Energex House on Reddacliff Street, at Newstead in Brisbane which was completed earlier this year.

Oliver Hume has been appointed to manage sales and marketing for over $1 billion worth of new projects over the last 12 months including projects by leading developers Villa World, Amex Corporation and Orchard Property Group.

The company currently exclusively manages the sales and marketing of more than 15 major projects in SEQ with and is on track to complete more than 1,200 developer sales in 2016. The third year in a row, this business achieved over 1,000 sales within a calendar year.

Oliver Hume Joint Managing Director Brinton Keath said the new office would provide a new, larger base of operations as the company looked to capitalise on the growth of the Gold Coast.

“50 Cavill Avenue was appealing with its refurbished space allowing our Queensland business to continue its growth in a high quality, flexible environment. It also offers a sought-after location close to the Gold Coast’s major business districts,” he said.

“The building’s refurbishment is designed to target energy efficiency with a modern design and a host of improved features, and it will be a great workspace for our staff,” Mr Keath said.

Oliver Hume Joint Managing Director Marcus Buskey said the new space combined a great location with high quality workspaces that would improve efficiency and productivity.

He said the space would also provide a welcoming environment for the company’s Gold Coast-based clients and friends.

“We’re pleased to be able to welcome our valued clients, staff, and friends to this new space, which also provides ample client parking,” he said. “We currently have more than 30 employees in Queensland and these new offices allow us to grow this number further in the coming years with our expected growth.”

CBRE's Associate Director of Office services Nick Selbie who negotiated the deal said: "Oliver Hume’s relocation further demonstrates the fact that quality tenants are being drawn back to the building as a result of the $10 million upgrade program the landlord GDI Property Group is carrying out.

This is further evidenced by the considerable increase in occupancy since the new ownership.
